Pipe tobacco seems more and more to be caught in the crossfire between the States and many cigarette/ryo (roll your own) companies. Punitive regulations, increased fees, smoking bans, shipping restrictions, credit card processsing difficulties are all signs of the times.
Our customers are increasingly being asked to shoulder the burden of state budget mismanagement of runaway, seemingly unchecked, programs. Exhorbitant excise taxes are having the unintended consequence of putting quality pipe and tobacco retailers out of business in many places and limiting your access to the products you enjoy.
