Special Interest Group - Comoy's

The Virtual Pipe Club provides a place for collectors of the Comoy's brand of smoking pipe to meet each other, showcase their collections and share information about the brand. The goal is for this resource to become THE most complete repository of information about Comoy's.

Each member receives a profile which is easily self-maintained, a listing in the member directory, a special forum for discussions within the group, and access to all resources of VPC.

Background on Comoy's:

In 1825 Francois Comoy, with his brothers, started to make smoking pipes from local timbers in the St. Claude area of France.  In 1848 pipes made of briar became the only interest of the Comoy family.  In 1879 Francois' son, Henri, moved the family business to London which had become the center of the pipe smoking world thus becoming the first Briar Pipe factory in London.

The 20th century saw the realization of the Comoy Tradition - that wherever men resort to the comfort and solice of a good pipe, the name Comoy would be synonymous with true smoking pleasure.
